HVAC Technician- KSA

ENGIE Energy Services Saudi Company LLC has an immediate opening for an HVAC technician to join our energy efficiency team in Saudi.

The ideal candidate should be an HVAC technician with at least 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of chillers, chilled water pumps, AHU/FAHU/ FCUs, DX AC units, lighting systems, hot water systems, etc. The candidate should conduct all measurements following the company’s HSE policy at all times. The candidate will be reporting to the head of the energy audit team.

Given the urgency of the recruitment, the successful candidate shall be based in KSA with a transferable visa/iqama.

Job Responsibilities

  • Field measurement of air and hydronic systems, using specialized tools and test equipment, such as power meter, ultrasonic flow meter, manometer, anemometer, psychrometer, and thermometer.
  • Site surveys including equipment condition survey and inventory of major end-users of energy.
  • Record the parameters in the defined template in Excel / Word and report to supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may include on-site operations or maintenance

Qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma or trade license in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC (O&M, installation, testing, and commissioning)
  • Proficiency in English. Arab speaking will be an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) & AutoCad
  • Perform quality work with deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Valid KSA driving license will be an advantage
Control Engineer - KSA

Smart4Power has an immediate opening for a qualified “Control Engineer”. The position holder will be Responsible for the design, engineering, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handing over of Building Services Electrical System with quality according to project specification within the designated time frame. Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct site survey of existing buildings along with energy audit team to identify the performance gap in existing Building Management System (BMS)/ Chiller Plant Managers (CPM), Energy Management System (EMS) and opportunities to enhance building energy controls.
  • Support Sales/ Estimation team with development of system Architecture, selection of hardware and software based on data points with energy savings and payback period calculations
  • Identify and evaluate local suppliers and technology vendors for Building Automation Systems and Energy Management systems
  • Independently manage projects involving different building energy control system (BMS / CPM / EMS)
  • Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of case-by-case project requirements
  • Prepare energy efficiency operating procedures and perform re-commissioning of existing BMS systems
  • Complete systems analyses, scoping studies, front-end design work, and collaborate on designs with contractors and consultants
  • Design and develop new control systems for HVAC, lighting, etc., program it and test it.
  • Create flow/schematic diagrams
  • Prepare all project related documentation for client approval
  • Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshooting with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation

Qualifications and experience:

The ideal candidate should possess 3-5 Years of experience as a Control Engieneer in engineering and contracting or similar industry in GCC and hold a Bachelors in Electrical/Control/Electrnonics Engineering

  • Should have proven experience on working with DDC control systems & PLC Control system on HVAC control systems.
  • Should have executed minimum 3 energy efficiency projects related to HVAC controls
  • Should have worked on Chiller plant management systems
  • PLC Platform Knowledge required: Schneider/Siemens/Rockwell/Beckhoff
  • DDC Platform Knowledge required: Schneider/Honeywell
  • Expertise in M2M Communication setup
  • Should possess strong HVAC knowledge with expertise in developing custom program algorithms based on site conditions.
  • 10. Knowledge of Machine Learning/IOT development shall be an advantage.

Skills / Abilities:

  • Familiar with different type of communication protocols and network integrations

Document Controller - KSA

Smart4Power has an immediate opening for a qualified “Document Controller”. The document controller shall be fully responsible for maintaining and managing the project document control system such that reference numbers, status, revisions, updates, issues distribution and a number of copies are properly recorded. Job Responsibilities

  • Establish new project filing system as per the company standard filing structure
  • Log and File day to day documents ensuring the traceability of the documents.
  • Maintain Project Register (Correspondences, transmittals, submittals, inspection requests…etc.)
  • Check the font, template, format of all outgoing document
  • Distribute project-related copies to internal teams
  • Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
  • Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
  • Prepare all outgoing submittals as per client requirements (number and type of copies, forms) and coordinate with client document controller for incoming/outgoing documents
  • Scan/upload the correspondence/document softcopy in to the server in relevant folder using the reference number with title and/or subject.
  • File hardcopy of the document in the respective files as per the file list.
  • Check all drawings and specifications received from Employer for completeness.

Electrical Engineer - KSA

Job Responsibilities

  • Studying all technical drawings, documents and any revisions thereon.
  • Executing all the required calculations for the electrical systems (i.e. cable sizing, voltage drops, over load protection, breakers sizing, lighting lux levels…etc).
  • Selection of material and equipment according to the calculations and the project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with Authorities requirements.
  • Preparing project engineering submittals (Material Submittals, Method Statements, Shopdrawings…etc.)
  • Advising on construction methodologies in coordination with other disciplines/contractors/ subcontractors prior to construction.
  • Supervising the construction in terms of progress, proper method, material reservation and optimum output of labour.
  • Ensuring that any variations and instructions received from the client are incorporated into the latest construction issued drawings and auctioned by the construction team

Procurement Engineer -UAE

Smart4Power has an immediate opening for a qualified “Procurement Engineer”. The position holder will be in charge of all procuremnet activies within our projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively develop a strong network of qualified suppliers & contractors in UAE & Saudi Arabia.
  • Actively increase the list of suppliers and contractors through effective pre-qualification process / Update supplier’s database.
  • Develop / update S4P purchase standard terms in line with S4P stakeholders (ENGIE / ALEC).
  • Ensuring entity and Group policies are applied throughout the procurement process.
  • Understand the projects requirements from the proposal team during tendering process.
  • Take support from proposal engineer to prepare & submit supplier RFP.
  • Effectively source proposals from the market and submit to proposal team during tendering process.
  • Submit detailed technical and commercial evaluation of the suppliers for the approval of Business development manager.
  • Ensure the suppliers comply with project requirement and Smart4power general purchase terms and conditions.
  • Arrange negotiation meetings with bidders with support from Business development manager.
  • On contract award, prepare handover of proposals and comparison sheets to Project Manager.
  • Validate the proposals based on purchase request from Project Manager.
  • Submit final recommendation to cost control engineer, based on technical and commercial evaluation with approval from Business development manager and Project Manager.

Qualifications and experience:

The ideal candidate should possess at least 5+ years experience in procurement aand hold a Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electcial Engineer.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project purchasing of technical goods and services, preferably in a B to B  industry
  • Proven expertise in MEP projects with contract value >10M USD.
  • Proven expertise in value negotiations with medium complexity.
  • Advanced knowledge of the operational purchasing process for technical goods and services
  • Advanced understanding of the order to pay process.

Energy Auditor - KSA Market

Smart4Power has an immediate opening for a qualified “Energy Engineer” to cover its activities in KSA. The position holder will be in charge of conducting energy audits and as well as supporting the implementation of energy conservation measures, mainly in commercial buildings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct energy audits and technical studies aiming at profiling the energy consumption and efficiency of buildings, with special focus on HVAC systems (chillers, pumps, FAHU, DX AC…):
    • Conduct measurements at customers facilities using specialized equipment such as power analyzers, flow meters, thermal cameras, etc.
    • Collect the data, creating tables and graphs to support the analysis.
    • Analyse and identify potential improvements to reduce building’s energy demand, describing working principles of the proposed retrofit and control solutions.
    • Prepare and present energy audit report and other technical studies to customer
  • Conduct the measurement and verification of savings after the implementation of energy conservation initiatives
  • Provide LEED certification consultancy services for existing buildings (LEED EBOM…)
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required
  • Support the design and implementation of energy conservation measures.
  • The candidate will be based in Riyadh/Dubai and some travel in other GCC Countries with overnight stays.

Qualifications and experience:

The ideal candidate should possess at least 5+ year experience in energy audits and implementation of energy efficiency projects, preferably with ESCOs.

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • LEED EBOM / Estidama certification will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)/ Certified measurement & verification Professional
  • Proficiency in English. Arab speaking will be an advantage.
